Big Horn BBQ in Pearland

Today I got the loaded baked potato with jalapeno cheese sausage and it was incredible. Friendly service from everyone I interacted with. Highly recommend this place.

Ridiculous ordered a 2 meat combo and they give me spaghetti meat. Horrible for the price they charge never again.

Picked up a party pack 1. Includes 2 pounds of meat and 3 pints of sides! Chose brisket. Both lean and wet. It was delicious! The Mac n cheese. The potato salad and the warm loaded mash potatoes were also delicious. The place sells homemade chocolates. Omg. They looked incredibly delicious. Tempted but will try on next visit. While waiting on my order I saw the huge chop salad go out to a customer and I was drooling... can’t wait to try breakfast kolaches and the salads !! My new Pearland favorite

I’ve been here quite a few times in the past few weeks and must say both the cheeseburger and friend chicken sandwich are delicious. Today I tried the brisket tacos with chips and queso. VERY DISAPPOINTED. The queso was hot and decent. The tacos were ice cold. The brisket and even grilled onions were ice cold. I could understand the lettuce and cheese, but grilled onions and brisket? Not to mention it’s over $17 with a regular drink for the meal. I gave 2 stars because at least the queso was hot and decent.

Worst experience I’ve ever had at a barbecue restaurant! Went to the drive thru and that’s where the problems started. The young lady working the drive thru was very rude and condescending. She absolutely has no interpersonal skills and should not be working with the public! While there I ordered the 3 meat plate with brisket, ham and sausage with 2 sides. The brisket was dry and the sausage had very little flavor. After eating it I got a very severe case of food poisoning . Never had that happen with barbecue before. Thought I would try this place as an alternative to the other barbecue places since it’s closer to where I live but I think from now on I will drive a little further to get some of my usual barbecue.

For lunch or dinner, the meat was okay to good, but I didn't like the BBQ sauce, it was too sweet. However, for breakfast, holy cow. They make all kinds of breakfast food with much higher quality meat than what you're used to. Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage is fine by me, but a sausage and egg breakfast taco with real (excellent) sausage? That's another level.

Fabulous food, their one weak spot is their smoked turkey. It's cut against the grain of the meat which makes it break apart under the fork and sauce. Of course that might just have been that one cut of meat.The rest was fabulous. The brisket had just enough marbeling to be tender and juicy.The burger was lacking in artificial flavor, was tender, juicy, and not at all dry. They are smoked sausage had a nice firm texture, the cuts of It Made It Fabulous for putting on slices of bread and putting sauce on. The flavor of the sausage is best described as beefy, with just the right amount of spices and peppers to give it a good amount of flavor.

Big Horn BBQ has the absolute best fried okra I've ever tasted, and I've had more than my fair share of the stuff. The barbeque burger is my favorite item for the money, but all the food I've tried has been good. The drive-thru is convenient, but I like the rustic atmosphere inside, too.

Very good food indeed. All common BBQ items and sides offered, no surprises here. Having ordered the three meat combo, I had plenty of food, coupled with two sides, a take out box was required.As other folks have aforementioned, it’s not the cheapest, cost around $40 for two people to eat.With that said, the ambience was nice and traditional.Certainly would visit again if in town.

My wife and I tried Big Horn last night and were pleasantly surprised by the food, service and place. We've lived in Pearland for many years and have been spoiled by the likes of Central Texas and Killen's BBQ, but have always wanted to try this place. Getting to Big Horn is kind of a trick with all of the road construction on both sides of the restaurant, but that isn't their fault. The parking lot was mostly full, but there were still spots to be had. Once inside, we waited in a small line but it was worth it. The service on the food line was very friendly and fast. Seating was plentiful and the food was pretty good. I had the 2 meat plate (brisket and ribs) with a side of beans and mac n cheese. My wife had a loaded baked potato with turkey. Everything was fantastic, except for the ribs....if they were as moist and tasty as the brisket, I would've given the 5th star. All in all, I had a good experience and will likely come back...I want to try those pulled pork nachos the next time.

I stood in line for 15 minutes just for a sandwich and there were only 2 people myself and a woman. The sandwich wasn't even worth $10.46. I should have gone to Papas like started to.

Loved my two visits here while visiting Houston. The Jalapeno sausage was amazing. The food was good value especially the two meat combo. I also enjoyed the Chocolate Meringue Pie. Looking forward to visiting again!

My family's Thanksgiving plans were disrupted by the evacuation order due to the chemical plant fire in Port Neches. The awesome staff at Big horn donated a smoked Turkey and saved Thanksgiving. Thank you so much. Also, the Turkey was amazing.

Awesome food and service, though the bar isn't usually staffed when I visit.

It's not the best BBQ I've ever had, but it's still really damn good. Brisket and pulled pork was great. Sides are really good too. Cool building, even if it's attached to a gas station

This place is AWESOME. This is what TEXAS bbq is all about. I suggest the 2 meat dinner. I had the brisket and the sausage with baked beans and yams. I also had an order of fried okra. All the sides looked great I was pleased with my choices. This is a really good place I would recommend it

I was expecting the food to be good because it was extremely busy & the food smelled amazing. But my husband and I left disappointed. The brisket was hard and dry! The meat basically looked like it overcooked. I was so disappointed!! The BBQ sauce was very good! Thick & flavorful. That was the only thing that helped our meal.

Well this will be my last time coming to this lovely establishment. Well first let me say I love the food everything is good, but customer service I don’t know. Well Sunday that late evening May 10, 2020. We went an order a meal through the drive through cause of the COV 19 we were just being precocious. So we ordered a meal an when we ask for plenty of barque sauce they gave us lots. Now today May 12, 2020 afternoon we decided to go again through the drive through an now when we ask for extra barque sauce it’s $0.50. Then we tried calling the manager. They gave us the ring around then say after a 5 min conversation that they just changed it that way. First barque establishment I had to pay money for Barque Sauce! But if that’s the case why don’t well know restaurants like Papa’s barque Don’t oh well I guess that’s why it’s well know then. Never again. That’s what happens when you go to off brand barque company’s that don’t have their stuff in check!

If I could review this restaurant with a zero star, I would! Disgusting restaurant with mice everywhere! I saw mice crawling under tables while people were eating! The staff, are unkind and rude. I found multiple strands of hair in my salad. 0/10 do not recommend this restaurant.

Really superior BBQ joint with tons of choices, delectable meats, excellent sides, and spotlessly clean facilities everywhere you look. Prices are on the high end but perfectly reasonable for the quality you get. And there's a general store and a sweets counter in addition to the standard meat choices and great sides, AND one of the best-stocked additions bars (pickles, pico, etc) I've ever seen. Saturday night there's live music; you can't do much better!

The WORST customer service !!! Waited in the drive thru for 20 minutes only to be told they were closed!!!! They waited 20 minutes to let me know they were no longer taking orders !!!!!

We've come here a lot since we discovered it after moving to Pearland because of how good the food is. My one star review is based on the customer service. Pretty bummed at how rude the guy working the drive through is. They have really good breakfast burritos and because of that we have come atleast 2 times a week for them. I order mine without the egg everytime without issue. This particular morning we came through and ordered without egg and the guy at the drive through rudely informs us that it cost an extra $1.50 to omit the egg. I dont want extra meat, I just dont want the egg. Apparently that's their policy even though that was never communicated to us the many times we have ordered it like that. Why is that such a hard request to accommodate?! I use to think the customer service was superb until this visit. If I was reviewing it based on food, I'd give it 5 stars because it really is delicious.

Excellent Food. Moderate prices and very adequate portions. If we're back in the area,,,definitely would go back again. There's a confectionery there, didn't try, but smelled heavenly. Display was beautifully done. Also reasonably priced. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Good good bbq! Always fresh and hot with a large variety of side dishes and desserts. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It has a nice family atmosphere.

Great Food! A bit pricey for common food items. About $40 for 2 people. I ordered a Brisket Nacho my husband ordered a double burger (came with one side) and a dessert. We will go back (but I will order differently)! No more $16 Nachos for me!

Nachos were a good idea, but the cheese was runny and the pulled pork had no smoke flavor. Despite that, the flavor profile was good and the portions were generous.

I have been coming here for a long time. Around 5 years and I always get a baked potato but instead of baked potato I do their mashed potatoes. All of a sudden they don't do that anymore. I mean up charge me if need be but how has it been happening all this time. Very disappointed.

Great BBQ. A little pricey though. Pinto beans are to die for. Great flavor. I always get the chopped beef sandwich and pour on the sauce and add pickles and onions. My mouth is watering just writing this.

Great location, Great Bar B Que, Staff is Friendly and efficient. If you’re looking for good BBQ at a decent price, this is a stop for you. The ambiance inside is rustic with multiple stuffed animals around the room. They have drive through, carry out and dine in as options for your convenience as well. There is a sign that they have a live band on weekend evenings - probably should check due to COVID. Enjoy & Bon Appetit! 😋😋😋

Pretty good BBQ, but there are other places nearby that are better. The service and atmosphere were great, but the woman that handled our dessert order to-go (she was in plain clothes, manager/GM perhaps) wasn't very receptive to a smile.

I went to this restaurant yesterday for a networking event and my party had a misunderstanding on how the tab was disbursed.... The cashier Ms. Barbara was very rude and inconsiderate of the fact that we had some small details mixed up! For her to be on the front line with that type of attitude is very bad and it gives an establishment a very bad perception. Now grant it, we got everything worked out but that part of the experience stood out to me the most. Being in the Customer Service industry, and owning a business myself, I understand that it takes 10 new customers to make up for that one loyal repeat customer. The food was really good, the atmosphere itself was very laid back, and the other servers were very polite and courteous to us. It was just the cashier, Ms. Barbara! I would have given 5 stars but she really made me drop the rating.

Extremely unsatisfied with my visit, first time going and never going back again. My encounter with the “manager” was very unprofessional. At The Time To Gill My Drink Small Animals Cane Out of the ice machine, I have pictures and told the “manager” ad she did not do anything about it just said to go to other side and fill my drink while still letting others fill their cup where the animals cane from. That is very disgusting and I did not get an apology or anything Worst experience and will not go back.
